AIMS IN SPRING

After focusing on larger paintings for my last show, I’ve started spring with smaller studies and drawings. At Wilder Ranch, I’ve been trying out different approaches to structure in the landscape, thinking a lot about what distance does to color.

I’ve also continued to draw from the model.  Settings have been pushed outdoors, or interior forms have been diffused, to help the figure take its contour from surrounding space.

I’m lost in these things, but productively lost. I hope you enjoy the results.
